As part of the ZeleNatura project, financed by the Interreg Slovenia-Croatia 2021-2027 program, the city of Kastav is renovating the neglected and unused green area between the old core and the primary school and turning it into a meeting place for citizens of all generations and a school garden where interpretation will be held. biodiversity of the program area. The investment is defined through the main project 'Terrace park development' from 2025. The scope of the investment includes item no. 4359, 4360 and 4361, k.o. Kastav, where there are neglected terraced areas next to the building of the Elementary School 'Milan Brozović'. In the southeast part of the scope includes a partially landscaped garden. The cost list includes preparation works, earthworks, concrete and reinforced concrete works, stone cutting works, locksmith works, horticulture, supply of seedlings and equipment. Access to the scope is difficult due to the characteristics of the surfaces within the scope, as well as the proximity of the school, which is why when planning works and phases, it is necessary to take into account the need to use access roads during the execution of works.
