- The project includes the entire process of transportation, characterization, processing and conditioning of a part of low and medium radioactive waste (NSRAO) from the Krško NPP generated until 31 December 2023, the disposal of which is the responsibility of the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the Interstate agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia on the regulation of the status and other legal relations related to the investment, use and decommissioning of the Krško NPP. The activities covered by the project are carried out for the purpose of ensuring a permanently safe, controlled and coordinated waste disposal, with compliance with all technical, safety and legal requirements of the Republic of Croatia, the European Union and the host country of the processing plant.
