• Country Advisory and EconomicsDepartment of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), the private sectorarm of the World Bank Group (“WBG”), aims to support Croatian Ministry of Economy (MINGO) in their efforts to create lessburdened, incentivized and more competitive business environment, asrecommended in the European Commission-s regular annual assessment. As part ofthe National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (NPRR), Croatianauthorities have defined comprehensive reform package that will trigger theneeded growth, including measures to support managerial capabilities withinSMEs. The project aims to enhance theproductivity and competitiveness of Croatian enterprises by promoting theadoption of modern business practices.The project will be implemented intwo phases. Phase I, entitled SkillUp Bootcamp, is a five‑week trainingprogram designed to provide small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) withpractical skills and knowledge. Week one focuses on the application ofArtificial Intelligence solutions for SMEs. Week two is dedicated to leadershipskills development with a 2-day offsite. Weeks three and four provide sector‑specifictraining tailored to the industries in which participating SMEs operate. Weekfive addresses sustainability, with masterclasses covering governance,environmental and social considerations, marketing strategies, and financingoptions.Phase II, known as the SkillUpClub, is an exclusive, invitation‑only initiative for SMEs that participated inPhase I, identified as having the greatest growth potential. This phase offersmembers access to advanced resources, networking opportunities, and targetedcapacity‑building activities.For the current calendar year, theproject will implement the following activities. (1) Under Phase I, threecohorts will be organized: two cohorts will participate in the full five‑week SkillUpBootcamp program, while one cohort will take part in the MiniSkillUp program, which consists solely of the two‑day offsitetraining.
